1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Monimane ("the Service"), available at monimane.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Monimane is a free personal finance management web application that helps you track your expenses, manage wallets, set budgets, and organize transactions by category. The Service also provides AI-powered receipt scanning to help you log transactions quickly.

3. Account Registration

To use Monimane, you must create an account. We support sign-in via Google, email/password, and phone number. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Free Service

Monimane is provided free of charge. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, availability, or continuity of the Service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

5. Not Financial Advice

Monimane is a personal finance tracking tool only. The Service does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, tax guidance, or any other form of professional financial counsel. You should consult a qualified financial advisor for financial decisions. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on data displayed in the app.

6. AI Receipt Scanning

Monimane offers an AI-powered receipt scanning feature. When you use this feature:

• Your receipt images are analyzed by AI to extract transaction data (amounts, dates, descriptions). Images are not permanently stored on our servers.
• There is a limit of 2 scans per day per user.
• AI may misread receipts. The extracted data may contain errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of scanned data before saving transactions.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service using automated means.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure or other users' access.
• Abuse the Service, including but not limited to creating excessive accounts or circumventing usage limits.
• Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit security vulnerabilities.

8. Data Ownership

Your data belongs to you. All financial data you enter into Monimane (transactions, wallets, budgets, categories, notes) remains your property. You can export your data in JSON format and delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page, which will remove your data from our systems.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• We shall not be liable for any loss of data, profits, or financial losses arising from your use of the Service.
• We shall not be liable for any financial decisions made based on information displayed in the app.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free).

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction where you reside. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in your place of residence.
